Also Called:  Dwarf forget-me-not, moss forget-me-not.

Flowering Period:  June, July, August

Family:  Borage ( Boraginaceae )

Height:  1-2 inches

Life Span:  perennial

Stems:  Slender stems are covered with silvery hairs.

Leaves:  Leaves are basal, thick, silvery, hairy, and less than 1/2" long.

Flowers:  Brilliant blue, purple, or white flowers with yellow center. Flower diameters are only 1/4 inch. Flowers are funnel-shaped with 5 lobes.

Habitat:  Common on exposed rocky or gravelly ridges and slopes from high subalpine prairies to mountain tops.

Comments:  This plant is similar to Howard's Alpine Forget-Me-Not found in Montana and northern Wyoming.
