Rosa woodsii Lindl. Also Called: Woods' rose, western wild rose. Flowering Period: May, June Family: Rose ( Rosaceae ) Stems: Stems are red and prickled on their lower portions. Leaves: Leaves are compound with five to nine leaflets. Flowers: Light to deep pink flowers with 5 petals and 5 sepals with numerous yellow stamens. Each flower is 2" across.
