Flowering Period:  July, August

Family:  Parsley / Carrot ( Apiaceae / Umbelliferae )

Life Span:  Perennial

Stems:  Green, smooth, hollow and weak.

Leaves:  Leaves are up to 8" long, bearing 7-9 ovate. These are leaflet variations.They can be toothed or smooth.

Flowers:  Very small white flowers (1/16") in domed umbels to 1 1/2" across. Cowbane's flowers are very similar to Hemlock Parsley. However Hemlock Parsley leaves are more parsley like.

Habitat:  Montane to subalpine in wet area, especially along streams.
